Also explain that Un abrazo is less familiar in Spanish than its English translation. • Point out that Estimado/a and Querido/a are adjectives and thus change in gender and number. Write salutations on the board and have students supply the correct form: ____ Señora Martínez: (Estimada) ____ Allison: (Querida) ____ padres: (Queridos) • Point out the use of the colon (dos puntos), which is used instead of a comma.
