DESCUBRE 1 - PROGRAM SAMPLER

120 Teacher’s Edition • Lesson Three TEACHING OPTIONS 1 Expansion After students have determined the correct order, have pairs write sentences that describe what happens between items. 2 Expansion Have students provide other quotes from the episode. The class should identify the speakers. 3 Teaching Tip Before assigning this activity, review family vocabulary with books closed. 4 Expansion Have students perform their role-plays for the class. Have them draft classmates to play the roles of their family members. Small Groups Have groups of three interview each other about their families. Assign one person as the interviewer, one the interviewee, and the third person as the note taker. At two minute intervals, have students switch roles. When everyone has been interviewed, have students report back to the class. Extra Practice Ask volunteers to ad-lib the episode for the class. Assure them that it is not necessary to memorize the script or stick strictly to its content. They should try to get the general meaning across with the vocabulary and structures they know, and they should also feel free to be creative. Give students time to prepare.
