Video Synopsis Olga Lucía is finishing a project in her apartment. Manuel, Juanjo, Sara, and Valentina are waiting for her in the boys’ apartment. Valentina’s family arrives unexpectedly. Valentina introduces her friends to her family. Her family members join the friends on their Sunday outing to the park. Everyone has fun except for Manuel and Juanjo. Teaching Tip Preview the grammatical structures taught in this lesson. Identify descriptive adjectives like guapa, simpáticos, inteligente, divertido, mexicano, and dominicano in the captions. Also point out the possessive adjectives su, mi, mis, and nuestro. Identify forms of -er and -ir verbs, such as debes and vivimos in caption 1. Point out forms of the verbs tener and venir. Then play the episode once without sound and have the class create a plot summary based on visual clues. Next, show the segment with sound and have the class correct any mistaken guesses and fill in any gaps in the plot summary. Ask comprehension questions as a follow-up.
