They remember what they have to do in their challenge and write it down. • The groups share their dialogues with the class. EXPANDING LEARNERS • To reinforce conjugation, ask students to say what the characters say in the dialogue, changing the first person to the third person. • Have students report this information in a mock news broadcast. Differentiated Instruction Presentation • The four teams gather with their results of the challenge and the competition ends in the Plaza de Armas. • In Un chin de..., students will watch a video by two Dominican vloggers as they learn to prepare a favorite recipe. Warm-Up • Ask students to summarize briefly (1-2 sentences) what each team’s challenge was (Desafíos 1, 2, 3, and 4) prior to the teams’ arrival in Lima. El encuentro • Ask students to get into four groups, one for each team that participated in the challenge in Peru. They should write a brief summary of the task, where it took place, who took part, and how everyone was feeling. • Ask students to study the illustration. Let them read individually and then share their impressions with the class. • Have students write the names of the different characters and how they feel or what they have achieved.
