The program supports remedial education programs for disadvantaged students. More than fifty percent of U.S. schools qualify for Title I, Part A funds. These are used for school-wide programs and targeted-assistance programs. • Eligibility: Funds are allocated to school districts based on a formula that considers the number of low-income students and the cost of education in the state. • Allowable Uses of Funds: Academic support, professional development, supplies, equipment, and materials (including supplemental instructional materials, software, licenses, online subscriptions).
