PERSPECTIVES Documentaire Collection Fully integrated with the student text, the PERSPECTIVES Documentaire Collection features films from around the francophone world. These films are the basis for the pre- and post-viewing activities in the Documentaire strand of each lesson. The films are a central feature of the lesson, providing new thematic vocabulary as well as opportunities to review and recycle vocabulary from On en parle , and previewing and contextualizing the grammar in Structures. These films also offer opportunities to build listening comprehension skills, and they encourage students to reflect on cultural perspectives and make comparisons to their own culture. As students watch the Documentaire films, they will observe French speakers interacting in various situations, using real-world language that reflects the lesson themes as well as the vocabulary and grammar.
