Negative word + verb Nunca corro en el parque. I never run in the park. 2. No + verb + negative word No corro nunca en el parque. I never run in the park. Alguien and nadie function as subjects of a sentence. Alguien está en casa. Some one is at home . Nadie está en casa. Nobody is at home . Unlike English, Spanish can actually have two or more negative words in the same sentence. A double negative is quite common in Spanish and does not make the statement positive.
