ESPACES - PROGRAM SAMPLER

S-14 IAE-30 V I D E O P R O G R AM THE ROMAN-PHOTO EPISODES Fully integrated with your textbook, the ESPACES Video Program contains twenty-six dramatic episodes, one for each lesson of the text. The episodes present the adventures of four college students who are studying in the south of France at the Université Aix-Marseille . They live in apartments above Le P’tit Bistrot , a café owned by their landlady, Valérie Forestier. The video tells their story and the story of Madame Forestier and her teenage son, Stéphane. The Roman-photo strand in each textbook lesson is an abbreviated version of the dramatic episode featured in the video. Therefore, each Roman-photo strand can be done before or after viewing the corresponding video episode, or as a stand-alone section. As you watch each video episode, you will first see a live segment in which the characters interact using vocabulary and grammar you are studying. As the video progresses, the live segments carefully combine new vocabulary and grammar with previously taught language. You will then see a Reprise segment that summarizes the key language functions and/or grammar points used in the dramatic episode.
