UNIT X UNIT 4 | 133 Project | 125H UNIT 4 Suggestions UNIT 4 Project Collaborative groups create an opinion piece on a community issue. Brainstorm with the whole group to generate a list of community issues that concern the students. Have the students vote to determine the top three issues and split up into three groups. Then each group writes a persuasive opinion piece about one of the issues. The final piece should include three facts to support their opinion and a drawing that illustrates the issue. Discuss division of labor within each group so all students participate and observe that working together is a model for inclusivity and community building, like how members within different government branches should work together. Have each group present their opinion piece to the class.
