It needs sunlight. Are the leaves brown? Is the soil dry and cracked? Your plant is unhealthy. It needs water. Look at the roots of your plant. Are they out of the soil? Your plant needs more soil. It needs more room to grow. Now you know how to take care of your plant! DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION Scaffold After listening to the audio multiple times as a class, if some children are still unsure of the content, provide them a copy of the audioscript. Ask them to listen again and follow along with the words on the page. Have them listen a final time without looking at the script to help them see the words in their mind as they listen. Amplify Pair children who have higher levels of English proficiency and need to be challenged. Once they have completed Activity B, provide them with an additional problem to solve.
